Fluid Bed Dryer offers a lucid solution to drying of wet granules, crystalline or coarse materials. It utilizes the principle of passing the hot air at a high velocity through the bed of the material to be dried, thus causing it to fluidize.
The blower situated on the exhaust side of the dryer operates no negative pressure principle, which creates the induced draught and sucks in the fresh air into the dryer. A stream of hot filtered air is introduced from the bottom of product container containing the wet material. This container is provided with the air distribution plate and Dutch sieve. The air stream is passed through the bed of the material and fluidizes the product particles by creating the turbulence in the product container. Due to fluidization each particle gets surrounded by hot air, which leads quick & uniform heating and drying. Filter bags provided at the top prevent escaping of particles from the machine.

Separation of solids from solids, liquids from solids and gradation of materials in accordance with their sizes have always presented problems, especially when large quantity of material is to be processed through finer screens. In recent times the most important development that look place it – the replacement of the conventional reciprocating motion by the gyratory motion in sieving and straining operations. Even if a particle is small it would pass through a screen only if its configuration relating to the opening is favorable.
For a non-isometric particle, the axis must be correctly aligned with respect to the place of the screen. And the center of gravity of the particle must be above the aperture at any instant. Further, the amount of material on the screen should be such that passage of small particles is not obstructed by larger particles.
It is therefore necessary to impart horizontal rotary motion to the particle by rotary motion to the particle by suitable means. Care also has to be taken to ensure that such motions, particularly during dry sieving of grading operation, should not be vigorous so as to cause size reduction of particles themselves or damage to the screen.
CLIT Sieving Grading and Straining Machines was specially developed with above design features to provide gyratory vibration. The amplitude of vibration is adjustable to suit processing needs.
